S. Alexander Miller is a 2009 graduate of George Mason University School of Law, and a 2005 graduate of Elon University in North Carolina where he was a member of the Psi Chi, Alpha Kapa Delta and Pi Gamma Mu Honor Societies.

He currently teaches Immigration law at George Mason University School of Law.

Abby truly has a passion to help people navigate the immigration landscape. Her passion for immigration stems from her own family’s personal challenges within the immigration system. She understands the systemic impediments, the language barriers, and the sheer lack of understanding many people face. As a result of this, Abby is inspired to help families achieve the American Dream.

In her spare time, Abby enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and hiking at our glorious National Parks.

Taylor is a DMV native from Montgomery County, Maryland. He graduated from University of Maryland Baltimore County with degrees in History and Political Science. After graduation he chose to enter the field of immigration law in order to continue the work of helping members of his local community he began in Boy Scouts and as a grassroots political organizer. Taylor has experience and a proven track record of success in employment-based immigration (H-1B, L-1A, I-140, PERM) servicing world leading Information Technology businesses and brings a high degree of professionalism and attention to detail as well as a commitment to exceptional customer service to every case at MillerlawDC.

Marissa Spicer is a dedicated and detail-oriented administrative assistant at Millerlawdc, PLLC. With a strong background in customer service, team leadership, and project management, she ensures smooth day-to-day operations and provides invaluable support to clients and attorneys.

Her passion for advocacy is evident in her volunteer work as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA), where she supports children navigating the foster care system. Fluent in Spanish, Marissa is committed to assisting diverse communities with professionalism and care. Whether coordinating client communications, managing office tasks, or ensuring seamless case preparation, she brings efficiency and a client-first approach to her role.

EDUCATION

Marissa holds a Bachelor’s degree in English and Spanish Literature with a minor in Political Science from SUNY Cortland, equipping her with excellent communication and organizational skills.

In years past, Mr. Miller worked with AILA as the Placement Coordinator for the DC Chapter AILA Summer Intern Program, matching law students with immigration law firms in the Washington, D.C. area.

For the last three years, Mr. Miller has served AILA National on the Law Student Engagement Committee, helping to further AILA’s goals of encouraging qualified law students to seek out careers in immigration law.
